I guess when looking at a specific TV show it is hard to see what is portrayed as the hero, because for everyone, this hero is different. I feel like in every show there is the hero that the writer wants the audience to grow attached to. However in general, I think the hero is the happy ending at the end of almost every TV show. When watching one, everything is fine until some sort of conflict comes up. When that happens, the characters go around and try things until the problem is solved. And that is why it is a TV show because it ends happily so to set up for the next episode. This idea of the happy ending being our hero takes away all of the fears (problems arising in the episode) that the audience has.
